Becky Fitzgerald recently graduated with her master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in May of 2022. She also received her bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Psychology with a certificate in Education from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Before joining CFC, Becky worked for two years as a Lead Guest Services Specialist at The Beacon where she learned the importance of connections on the individual level, advocacy, and compassion. She also has experience supporting individuals connect to employment through the Wisconsin Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, navigating disability-based community resources and assisting others develop independent living skills with Access to Independence, as well as using art therapy tools and psychoeducation to foster an understanding of wellbeing in youth who have experienced adverse childhood experiences in research at the UW.
Becky is dedicated to fostering an equitable and inclusive community, focusing on policies made by and for the people they are meant to serve. She is passionate about developing relationships with others, empowering folks to advocate for themselves, and destigmatizing substance use and mental illness.
