Having embarked on her journey of recovery in 2016, Kirstie's passion for fostering hope and facilitating growth has been at the forefront of her endeavors. As the trailblazer in her family seeking higher education, she is currently pursuing her degree in Human Services at Madison College, with aspirations to further her studies at UW Whitewater to obtain a Master's Degree in Social Work. Her aim is to leverage her education and experiences to continue her impactful work in the field, championing the cause of those in need.

Prior to her academic pursuits, demonstrating her commitment to serving, she played a pivotal role in shaping the recovery community in Dodge County, volunteering as a SMART Recovery Facilitator both within the community and at the Dodge County Jail.

Kirstie's professional journey has provided her with invaluable insights into the intricacies of the mental health and treatment field. From her role as an administrative assistant at various treatment facilities and sober living homes in Waukesha, WI, to her tenure as a shelter housing case manager with a local agency in Madison, Kirstie has consistently exhibited a keen understanding of the needs of vulnerable populations.

Kirstie served as a pivotal member of a team dedicated to providing essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness, particularly during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Her leadership and compassion were evident as she navigated the complexities of her most recent role as Business Manager, collaborating with stakeholders to implement further housing programs in the community.

Currently, Kirstie eagerly anticipates the opportunity to seek a pardon for her past felony possession convictions from the Governor in April 2024, reflecting her unwavering commitment to personal growth and redemption. With her blend of professional expertise, personal resilience, and vigorous advocacy, Kirstie is poised to make a lasting difference in the lives of those she serves, and her community as she continues her journey at Catalyst For Change, providing CCS services.
